What Happens To The E-Waste Collected At Our Events?

We strive to achieve the best environmental outcome for every piece of material we collect. We assess the condition of a given piece of received material, and choose the appropriate pathway:
1. Re-Use--the item is wiped of data, and then transferred to a new owner.
2. Repair--the item is wiped of data, repaired, and then transferred to a new owner.
3. Salvage--the item is wiped of data, and used for spare parts.
4. Ethical Recycling--remaining materials that cannot be repaired, re-used, or salvaged, are wiped of data and then recycled by carefully selected facilities operating in full compliance with the highest and most comprehensive international set of standards: The Electronic Waste Code of Ethics.
Note: nothing we collect is incinerated, tipped into landfills, or dumped in developing countries.
